Shannan has been a member of Water Polo NSW since 1986 and remains deeply involved in the water polo community as a player, parent, coach, and board member. His involvement spans both Metro and Regional water polo as well as ranging from grass roots participation to high performance, providing him with a broad perspective of the challenges the sport faces, as well as the many success stories within the community.

As the Owner and Head of Operations of multiple successful businesses, with more than 12 years of demonstrated experience leading organisations to achieve significant development and growth, Shannan has a strong track record in building and leading highly skilled teams, executing robust sales and marketing strategies, and driving business development through prospecting, stakeholder engagement, and operational excellence.

Shannan has held, and continues to hold, numerous board positions across various sectors. He is a committed and passionate contributor, dedicated to working collaboratively with board colleagues to achieve development, progression, and successful outcomes.
