Water Polo NSW Announces Steve Whan as Patron

Steve brings a unique and deeply personal connection to the role, having played water polo himself and maintaining a lifelong appreciation for the values and community spirit the sport fosters. His appointment reflects Water Polo NSW’s commitment to strengthening the profile of water polo and championing opportunities for participants at every level of the game.

As Patron, Steve will serve as a respected advocate for Water Polo NSW, helping to promote the sport’s growth, support its clubs and athletes, and celebrate the positive impact water polo has within communities across the state.

Water Polo NSW President Shannan Johansen welcomed the appointment, saying:

Steve’s personal connection to water polo, together with his longstanding commitment to community and sport, makes him an exceptional ambassador for our organisation.
