Water Polo NSW Welcomes New CEO Lucy Warhurst

Water Polo NSW is delighted to introduce Lucy Warhurst as our new Chief Executive Officer (CEO), who joined us on 6 November 2023.

We are excited to welcome Lucy into our water polo community. Lucy brings with her a wealth of experience and a profound understanding of the Australian sporting landscape with over 20 years of experience within sports management and administration. Lucy has experience at all levels of the pathway including Club, State, National and International levels in Australia, and at an International level in the United Kingdom.

Notably, Lucy has held CEO roles with Dragon Boats NSW and with Equestrian Australia, as well as Sport Operations Manager at Paddle Australia. She has worked at 3 major Institutes of Sport in Australia and was the lead support for the Women's and Men's Water Polo programs during her time at the Western Australian Institute of Sport.

On accepting the position Lucy said "I am delighted to be offered the role of CEO of Water Polo NSW, and I am genuinely excited to meet the people in the community who make water polo in NSW vibrant, inclusive, respectful and fun . I am deeply committed to fostering growth, inclusivity, and excellence within our water polo community, and I look forward to working closely with the Board of WPNSW and all our stakeholders, athletes, coaches, referees, and dedicated staff to achieve our collective goals".

In welcoming Lucy the Chair of Water Polo NSW, Suzanne Ramke, expressed her enthusiasm on the appointment, stating, "We are thrilled to welcome Lucy as our new CEO and have her join our passionate water polo community. Lucy's positive outlook, extensive experience and community-oriented approach will undoubtedly bring significant value to our organisation."
