WPNSW Call For Expression Of Interest To Fill A Board Casual Vacancy Position

Water Polo NSW (WPNSW) is inviting expressions of interest to fill a casual vacancy position as a Director of the Board of Water Polo NSW.

The successful candidate will also chair one (1) Board Working Group.

WPNSW is the governing body for the sport of water polo in NSW. There are over 7,000 registered water polo members in NSW.

The WPNSW Board of Directors plays a critical role in supporting the CEO and enabling the organisation to achieve its goals across strategy, risk management, governance and financial performance.

Expressions of interest are sought from those who have a genuine desire to commit their time and capabilities to enhance the work of WPNSW and help us grow to 8,000 members in NSW by 2025.

The WPNSW Board of Directors is seeking to complement its existing membership with the following specialist skills and experience:

  • Legal background
  • Comprehensive understanding of what currently threatens Integrity
  • Financial performance
  • High Performance Sport background
  • Demonstrated success in development of community sport including schools
  • Demonstrated success in Communication Strategies and Stakeholder Engagement
  • 7+ years previous governance experience, preferably in a Not For Profit environment

Applicants should also have one or more of the following:

  • Partnership stewardship experience
  • Government and public sector understanding
  • Risk Management experience
  • Social responsibility experience

Expression of interest forms should be submitted before 11.59pm (AEST) 15 February 2024.

There is one (1) Director position available,and will be appointed by the WPNSW Board as per clause 19.1 of the WPNSW Constitution.

Please note, Director positions are voluntary roles.
